In Glock we trust.
As most of you know, I do guns. When one gun leaves daddy's nest, another must take its place. Lol
For a little over a year now I've been eyeballing the Gen 4 glocks while they've been sorting out their new design bugs. A choice had to be made as far as caliber and size, every day carry was the plan so I went with the model 19. Brand new in box was $500 out the door from a good friend of mine. Not bad, considering it comes in a decent case with 3 mags and a few other odds and ends. No range report yet, maybe later this week if I can skate out of work early. This will make a good running mate for my Gen 2 g17 that I shoot I.d.p.a. with.

I almost sprung for the g23, but couldn't find solid evidence that it accepted the g19 barrel so I could still shoot 9mm at the range for cheap fun. I know the Gen 3's swap.. just not the gen4

Cute .45, maybe someday you can grow up and buy guns that actually bring satisfaction in the form of gaping wounds.

I believe you're right. They are great pistols, from the three that I've shot.
This particular purchase will be used for every day carry and everything else. My "Swiss army knife" gun. Something I don't have to worry about tearing up, is reliable, has big mag capacity and lots of aftermarket support. The .40 Cal was tempting though.

You'll love it man, I've got a gen 3 19 that's my carry pistol and I shoot in the GSSF matches with it too. I was also torn on the 19 or the 23 but decided on the 9mm because I already had a .40 (Beretta 96) I also have a Gen 3 20 (10mm) Enjoy it!
