Default Big ass tree fell down in my back yard!

This big guy decided to give way the other day. Took out a section of my fence and the neighbors window. Been going at it with chainsaw and have it mostly taken care of now. More pics to come.

Good luck cleaning that up! I've had the same problems this year, a tree fell and almost hit my house but luckily another tree below it caught it.

Well, the night it fell there was not much wind. But the tree had about a 60* lean towards the neighbors house anyhow.

We've had lot of rain and I think the ground got so wet the tree just fell over.

yeah, wet years around here will cause a lot of bigger trees to split from all the water they soak up into the limbs and leaves. i've seen big sections split off, right onto a truck or car.

Some more pics of progress. Did all this cutting with a craftsman 42cc 18" chainsaw. So far has done a pretty good job, I think.
