So most recently on my spare time I've been buying and refurbishing older campers. Most recently was my 1970 19ft Security Travel trailer. When I brought it home it wasn't in the greatest shape but for 500 you can't really beat it. Here's a couple pics of the day we got it home. There was a pretty big leak in the roof that had to be addressed and the only things that worked were the stove / oven and the fridge ( kinda ).

So as I got time off work i would tackle one thing at a time. I started by pulling the appliances and getting them sanded and repainted. I then repainted the inside of the camper with colors my wife picked out. Followed by some new wood floor linoleum. Here's some pics up to that point. Oh and my helper for the day. Wife pulled the dad card and said id been spending to much time on the camper.
After all that, all that was left were the cupboards and to address the outside and none working utilities such as electricity and water. So I started by finishing up the cupboards and getting them put back in. I then started on the outside. I redid the lights with some new led ones. I hate having burnt out bulbs and chasing down new ones when one decides to go. So I cut out some holes for the taillights as I got some that were flush mount. After getting them test fitted I taped it all off and painted that ugly red stripe black. Turned out pretty good. I then looked around for some new rims but after no luck I just pulled them off and painted them. After that I went ahead and reinstalled all the lights as the paint was dry. Here's the finished product.
So that leads up to this week which has been a busy one. I went ahead and wall mounted a 32" flat screen and put an air conditioner in since it didn't have one. I also finished cleaning the bathroom and making a top cover to use for the tub / shower since we aren't planning on using it but need the extra storage. So here's the most up to date pictures I have. I did get all the electrical working and the water / water pump going. But while working on all that the fridge finally decided to quit working so I have to get a new one soon. But on to the pics..
So as of today I have about 1500 into the camper and it's pretty much finished. But im always looking for another deal and since this project was wrapping up I decided what the hell and bought another. I still need to get a gooseneck ball put in the truck ( on my to-do list tomorrow ). I went ahead and bought a 1976 24ft Companion fifth wheel that's been converted into a gooseneck. I paid 1250 for it and the inside is in premo condition. A little cleaning and some light painting and it'll be good as new. Outside needs a little help. Some new tires and some sheet metal screws followed by some paint and we'll be in good shape. I'm gonna do the same thing with the lights and convert them to led. Im thinking about doing a dark blue on the upper and lower stripes and doing a lighter blue for the middle ones but not sure yet. Here's some pics I snapped when I first saw it. When it gets here tomorrow evening more will follow..

I'm undecided at this point. We got kinda attached to it after putting so much time and energy into it. If someone made us a decent offer we might part with it but for now were just gonna keep it and lend it out to friends and family.
Well the gooseneck hitch is in. I shoulda paid more attention to my measurements of where to cut cause now I have a lot bigger hole then normal. I'll post some pics tomorrow before I go and grab my camper. I still have to wire in a trailer plug in the bed for it.
Cool stuff. Got to tow test the fifth wheel and it's definitely a lot different from my bumper pull. I also put up the bumper pull for sale.. ( asking 900 for it ) and I already got one call on it.
