Angry Tired of new style trucks...

Im sorry, but I am sick and tired of new style trucks. They are not trucks. A huge cab and a TINY bed. U cant even fit lumber in there properly. What is the point of buying a truck if you are not going to use it as a truck. Go buy a car or an SUV. BUT REALLY. Vehicle manufactures need to find style again. All the cars look basically the same and I am tired of it. They are not reliable, they all look the same, and once you get into a crash its totalled.
*Never getting a new style truck*

Sorry, this came out when I found the new "World Ranger" That looks a hell of alot like all the others....

thats not the point its the fact that the world has no style. And I completly agree. I love the boxy styles. They just have a certain vibe to em. I like the look of the old bubbly car/trucks, but I wouldnt buy one for myself. I like the boxes. ( NOT the nissan cube....)

the way I see it is that most people need trucks but need a DD that can carry more then 2 people comfortably. I know I plan on maybe hauling ATVs and maybe a trailer so a truck that carry a family might be in my future.

as for having rounder trucks, automakers are obligated to make them more fuel efficient to meet law demands and Squares arent fuel efficient. We waved goodbye to the muscle era, the big block era and now the boxy era.

True. Plus theres not as many farms or real "work truck" needs anymore.

unfortunately, they hope to make 30 MPG full size trucks by 2020 so Dodge has come out with 8 spd trannies, ford has the ecoboost and GM has..... hmmm w-e don't care, but each car maker is looking at ways to make their vehicles more drag efficient (2013 Ram and F150 meet this changes). I do like the new look of the Ram, but I prefer the look of boxy trucks of the 60s-80s more. but I wouldnt want a truck that gets 9-15 MPG as a DD, but these new fullsizes with perhaps 30 MPG are captivating.

That part is stupid to me. Thats what comes with the territory of owning a big truck. That or buy a 4 banger. At least the diesel hasn't changed to much. But not as many people own those either...

newer trucks styling? i love the new fords and rams styling. they still look tough, yet they dont look like any other truck out there. imo the fords are still planty boxy and truck looking.

as for short beds and big cabs, yeah, i hate how those look. give me a supercab and a 6'6" bed and ill be happy. but theres plenty of reasons to get a full cab short bed. if you have a family and have to tow a boat, trailer, etc.

After they got rid of him and his butt kissers, things changed for the better. Their quality got better too. We've had no issues at all out of mom's 2011 Chevy Cruze LTZ. In fact just the exact opposite. GM out does Ford because of the product selection they have. Ford hasn't come out with anything new other than the ecoboost technology and that is sad. And for the life of me I can't figure out why they didn't use a 4.0 SOHC with new heads in the F150 instead of the 3.7 liter V6. Ford needs also needs to take a chance and design some new vehicles with different designers. The new F150 style is terrible and I'm not the only one that doesn't like them either. Basically Ford Motor Company has rested on their laurels too much and have quit listening to their customers in both sales and service.
talking about trucks, GM doesnt use turbochargers other then the duramax, then again every HD has turbos. I am talking about gas engines. GM still uses low tech pushrod engines. what has GM done to their trucks to promote fuel economy other then gearing and 6 spd trannies on some engines.

-as for the 3.7L vs the 4L SOHC. the 3.7L has a lot more power then the 4L with new heads have. I am pretty sure the 3.7L is DOHC with Ti-VCT which allows it to be more fuel efficient then the 4L while making more power.

as for your cruze, its actually a rebadge Suzuki.

I just don't like the new F150 styling. I just can't get used to it. Plus after 3 surgeries, I'm already looking at different vehicles. Now that I can no longer drive a vehicle with a manual tranny.
