Default 300ex or a 220 2 stroke

i am looking to buy a 4 wheeler and i am having some trouble deciding between a 300ex or a 220 2 stroke i like them both the 2 stroke is in a nicer condition so im leaning to it i am just planing on riding in open fields and stuff not like muddin or anything with it

I'd go for the 2 stroke.. Cheaper to maintain if your just going to have fun with it in an open field.. 4 strokes tide better in mud though.

4 strokes ARE better in the mud

4 stroke for an atv is good. get the 300 ex. I had one and it was a blast. My g/fs dad has a blaster (2 stroke) not good for my type of riden...

What kind if atv has a 220 2 stroke? I just picked up this thing, it's a blast. It's an 03 Suzuki Z400-

I forgot, the 300EX has reverse if that's important to you. The 400EX does not unless its an 05+. The 400 is a big improvement in power and handling over the 300. 300EX is actually 282cc. Also, 2 strokes are easier to work on, but the 300EX has a very reliable, proven engine. So does the 400 for that matter.
