I think dogs look better natural rather than butchered. Putting a dog through weeks of pain so they look cool is nothing but cruel in my book

to each is his own I guess.... I have rescued every pit I have ever owned and some had cropped ears other didn't.... I personally wouldn't do it because there is no reason, but I guess there would be instances where you would want to crop ears. Say for a protection dog so if the dog was told to attack, the person the dog was attacking wouldn't be able to grab onto the ears... but I guess there's nothing really wrong with it. some dogs also have their ears cropped if shown in an AKC certified shows:

The American Kennel Club strongly supports the humane care and treatment of all dogs. We recognize that ear cropping, as described in certain breed standards, is an acceptable practice integral to defining and preserving breed character and/or enhancing good health. Appropriate veterinary care should be provided
my biggest pet peeve is dogs with spiked collars or fully spiked leather harnesses (especially pits and am staffs). Those dogs can look intimidating on their own so why dress them up? It also does not help change the bad rep they get. Like this pic, in opinion it's a beautiful dog.. no need for the spikes:

True but its still very painful for the dog, those who say it is not has never had work done on their ears. They bleed because there are nerves and vessels running through those ears that get big pieces hacked out of them. It hurts the same as any surgery
