Valvoline Nextgen...
Would you trust it in your Ranger? I can't see myself using it. Recycled anything for that matter...

Re: Valvoline Nextgen...
The jury is out on this one for me as well. Valvoline wouldn't put their name on it if it was decent, but the other side of me would want to to some independent testing on it before running in my truck.

Re: Valvoline Nextgen...
Considering I go 10,000 or more miles between oil changes to begin with, I don't think this stuff will be anything new or unusual to my engine.

Re: Valvoline Nextgen...
From what I've heard, oil doesnt really wear out, it just gets contaminated. What valvoline is doing is removing the contaminants, making it as good as new oil.
Would I use it? Nope, I'm a die hard synthetic user.

I wouldn't have any problem using it. I agree if they put their name on it I'd like to think they have done extensive tests on it.
I don't really think the oil wears out either it just gets dirty an the additives break down.

Re: Valvoline Nextgen...
I wonder how they seperate all of the other fluids out of the oil. Autozone, for instance will let you pretty much dump anything in their recycling tank.

Re: Valvoline Nextgen...
I've always been a fan of Castrol for my drivers and Valvoline for the hot rods. I use Castrol High Mileage in the truck. It seems to cut down on the marbling noise until it gets close to the next change.

Re: Valvoline Nextgen...
If it is re-refined waste oil , it should be just as good as stuff refined from crude oil.

I saw a Valvoline oil change garage that offered $5 off if you let them use Next Gen. I would rather take my $5 and let Ford use synthetic blend Motorcraft oil!
