the engine about every 2 months if that. The other parts are fine for a couple month also. i do my mirrors and door handles every time i wash it to keep up on it. the bumper in the pic i posted has not been hit with it in about over a month and a half and its still shinny and black. wet weather dulls them out quite a bit. it depends what kind of weather your in.

and Jay FX4 i havnt tryed that yet ill keep my eye out for it

and GrafixGuy your %100 right lol

The quickest and best way to detail an engine compartment is to (with engine running) spray everything with degreaser and let it sit for a few minutes, hose it off (not distributor or coils), spray your dressing on everything (not too much and don't wipe off), continue to let it run for a few. The heat from the engine evens the shine. That's how our used car lot has done it for years. It lasts and looks great.

My 08 now has almost 22k on the clock and still just as clean as when it rolled off the line and the engine detail has only been done twice.
