Talked to the Parts Department Manager at my local Ford dealer. He told me since I buy so many parts there, and since I seem to know what I'm talking about, why don't I work there? I told him "I'm not sure, but I wouldn't mind working here a single bit." He told me to give him my name and number, and he'd give me a call when he finds an opening.

Agreed! I'm not gonna get my hopes up, but I will be calling back every week or so to see if he has anything.

My dad used to work there from 1995-1998, so that's kinda cool.

Yep, all training will be paid in full. But I won't be actually working on cars, I'd probably be pulling/stocking shelves in the parts department. He said the main reason he wanted me in there is because I have a general understanding of Ford's numbering system.

Wow. Just typed out a list of all the things wrong with my Ranger, and man, I'm really considering trading it in/selling it. Why put all this work into a truck I don't really love? I want the same exact Ranger I have now, but with 4x4/4.0/5speed.

if i ever trade, im going a step up, i tow too much to get another ranger. altho a 4.0 would be acceptable for me tho.

got all my grades and i am HAPPY! with them lol

I would consider a full-size, but I don't tow/haul enough stuff to justify the amount of gas I would use. The biggest reason I want 4x4 is due to some of the sugar sand I have to drive through for work. I've never gotten stuck, but 4x2 is always risky business.

if something happened to my wife's car, i'd consider getting her a lowered ranger with an automatic, relatively new model if i could find one. i think she'd drive a slick looking lowered one with pride!
