Default Any Masons Out There?

This morning I went to my first Masonic Installation and seriously... what an experience! From what I've heard it happened to be better than most anyway but I'm excited to have been to my first one and have a better understanding of FreeMasonry. I myself have been involved in Job's Daughters since I was... well... pretty much a baby... my mom was invovled when she was a teenager and has stayed active ever since. This of course got me wondering if there are any Masons on here? Or anyone involved in the Masonic Family?

theres no real definition, its a multi religious order of prosperous and good faithed men, but like i said, im not in a lodge so i cant tell you. and once your in a lodge, your not allowed to divulge the secrets of the square and compas.

The one we have here in our town which is the largest most popular one meet at a place called Shrine Masque. I have heard stories about the basement begin stocked full of alcohol. Supposedly they throw some crazy parties.

They are always the ones that also put on the annual circus in town. Other than that you never really see or hear about them doing anything.

It's a club, society, order, whatever. They have meetings, rituals, and do good deeds in the community. There are alot of misconceived notions that they are part of the occult, but in reality, it's more of a social club.

The only thing I could add is it's a sort of fraternity for men. There are secrets, much like a fraternity, but other than that it's more about community service and socializing... DeMolay and Job's Daughters are similar but for teen boys and girls respectively.

The society of the freemasons built this country from the ground up and you can find their insignia on any historical building. It is all over Texas for sure

Yep! Used to be you had to be a Mason to get a respectable... most presidents were Masons as well as signers of the Declaration of Independance. It's a shame how much it's died out.
