Unfortunately, the cost of starting up your own farm is pretty high these days. I thought about it myself, but the cost just wasn't worth it. You're gonna need to make sure you know alot of people so you can get your name out there to make sure you'll always have buyers for your crops/livestock. There's the cost of equipment, feed, fencing, property, state taxes, etc. It all adds up quickly. My grandpa has quite a few acres up in Indiana, and he works part time as cabinet maker because farming doesn't get him anywhere. Getting another job first is a great idea, just make sure you make alot at it, or else you're just wasting your time.

Sweet man! All the military facilities around me sold out to DOD police. Its a shame seeing the military doing away with MP's, even camp lejeune went to DOD and most of them were mall security guards!

There is a great need for engineers in America right now. Not so much for cops.

Thats for damn sure...Ever since we went to iraq for the war there not doing us away its just cheaper for them than to use us for homeland security of the bases...
