Update for me since I first posted this thread a few years back.
I changed jobs last year and while I am still a draftsman, I am no longer in architectural granite. I am now a mechanical Design Drafted working for Fairchild Industrial Products designing air pressure regulators, volume boosters, transducers, relays, etc...

Didn't say they were my dreams. I get paid very nicely to spend other peoples money and make their dreams a reality. There are far worse "jobs" to have. Get over it.
