Yeah pretty much. Lately our warehouse has bene chaos. But what do you expect. We got humans running the show. So if somebody screws up your MRO request, it's not my fault, it's the dip stick who doesn't give a crap about why he's at work.
I'll be honest, it's not a glamorous job but knowing I serve people like you gives me a sense of purpose b/c alot of days it gets monotonous. Which is why I'm going to try and get some better training and hopefully move around with in DLA.

Ever come to York, PA? That's been in the news lately with the possibility of it moving if the union and the management didn't come to an agreement, But still I think 1000 people are loosing their jobs at the harley plant.

I'm a University of Kentucky alum with a degree in Management. I work in Management for a company called S&S Tire. We are a regional distributor of most major brand tires, wheels, etc...we sell tires and wheels to independent shops, deliver them on our trucks. We also operate some retail stores of our own, some commercial truck tire centers of our own, and some truck tire retreading facilities. We also move some auto parts, like hitches and towing accessories, suspension stuff, etc. We used to have a full blown "Truck Accessory Division" that I operated prior to the economy taking a crap - That was a blast for me.
It's a cool gig now though - I get to meet a lot of people and see a lot of places.

I work in the pressroom at RR Donnelly. We make all kinds of books. If you live on the east coast there is a good chance that we printed the book that your reading. The last few major books we printed at my plant are: the Sarah Palin book, the new Dan Brown The Lost Symbols, and a bunch of Michael Jackson books.

I tell people what to do, then make sure they do it. I'm a shift lead at a cereal factory, we take raw ingredients and turn it into finished, packaged goods, ready to ship.
