Advice on Truck Box
Hey Everyone, first time Ranger/truck owner here.
Im looking for the most cost effective way to get some extra storage space. Got an extended but still need more room. The only close vendors I have available are Lowes, Sears and Tractor Supply. After some time searching I found this little guy, but the reviews are less than stellar.(easy to dent, locks break easily, ect)
http://www.lowes.com/pd_67697-76354-...box&facetInfo=
So my question is
A. does anyone have a Kobalt truck box?
B. anymore recommendations for cheap boxes?
C. Online distributors that ship to residential addresses ?
Oh, and its 6ft extended cab XL- 2003 v6 4cyl

I looked at that one. it really just seemed to small so i went with a UWS chest and so i could make my roll bar for my truck fit

Huh???
Answers to the questions:
A. I have a Better Built truck box and I've heard they're pretty much built the same way and owned by Kobalt. I love mine, fantastically built and great welds. Love it, had it for about 8 months I guess.
B. CL or MAYBE Tractor Supply. But you'll get what you pay for. TS boxes had AWFUL welds and the chrome was all discolored when I looked at them for my truck. Built fast and cheaply. With CL you will be getting used, so dont expect perfection.
C. I ordered mine through Lowes and had to pick up at the store, but I now work at Lowes and in the stores around here we keep those boxes in stock, I'm pretty sure.
Hope I was able to help.
