Wildland Firefighter or ASE Tech?

What are your views on these two careers?

Why couldn't you do both?

Go to school to become a Tech and become a volunteer firefighter with a volunteer department that does a lot of wilderness fires.

Wildland is super dangerous man. More dangerous then structural firefighting. Plus its serious work. If you like digging trenchs in the heat and coughin on smoke for 14 hour shifts roughin it in the woods then hell yeah do it. But its deff not a job for pussys those guys mean business. I know alot of wildland my aunt is in charge of it for florida. But they make good ass money. I'm still debating if i want to do it or not.

Theres not really any volunteer for wildland. Its in such demand there always hiring. You have to be ready at any point to get on a plane and head out to another state for a fire. So its really hard to do both.
