Few years ago was a big housing boom that's still going on to this day. Sorta sad seeing the tow getting closer and closer to our farm. But, that's life and progress of a hot spot town. Can't stand some of the types that move there from Cali or Portland or whatever...damn hippies complaining for people innertubing on the Deschutes in front of their house. Overall, the town is flourishing with growth. I love it there. Only thing I would miss is not having the beach close by like in the Valley.
well put. i hate how much it has grown. yet i was young when it really started but more i look back on it its really sad. hey but insted of the beach u can have lots of lakes and rivers lol

i want to move up there once im out of college. im thinking more vancouver washington because my girlfriend has family there and she would like it. vancouver is right next to oregon so id probably go down there a good number of times. i hate california. im tired of suberbia and would like to live someone in the mountains or at least somewhere that snows like washington or oregon. im not to fond of the beach so that wouldnt be much of an issue for me.

How the EFF can you say Vancouver is in the mountains??!?!??

Vancouver and Portland both lie in the Valley.....a valley between two mountain ranges. duh. Bend and Central Oregon is high desert with a mountain range(cascades) right next to it. Not much snow hits the valley floor, but it does at least a couple times every year to as little as no accumulation on the floor. With Bend and it's higher altitude and it's location next the range, snows a normal thing over there.

Nahh I aint afraid, Im 6'4", 240lbs, and mean. nobody is gonna mess with me lol. I just dont want my family to move from one shitty place to another.

BTW, Ive already done the whole KY and TN thing, and never again.
I like small towns, but Murray, KY is a whole different kind of Redneck.
There aint nothin wrong with Rednecks, hell Im one myself.
But some of the people I ran into out there, are just..... Different.
Not really sure how else to put it...
Lol.

Murray, Ky is in western kentucky - about 300+ miles from the mountains... You think its redneck there- you aint seen nothing yet... haha Kentucky is a nice state, people are people though, wherever you live. If you aren't satisfied in one place and keep moving you have to stop and think - is it "the place" or is it "me".... I could live about anywhere.... (and call it home). Kentucky is my home, but I've fit in wherever I've lived. You can't move into a community (large or small) and dislike everything because there are faults with all areas of this country...

Make the best of wherever you go... Settle down and call that "home" - and "make it your home"... Because a "home is where the heart is" not just a house with bricks and morter....
