Re: My CDL is gone....
It sucks about your decertification. We have a saying in the military about the qualifications we must meet to stay worldwide qualified; "You are only one physical away from being non-retained." We wonder every year who's going to be next. We just lost our shop chief due to a medical disqualification.

Re: My CDL is gone....
If they're cutting licenses based on obesity... a whole shitload of truck drivers are in trouble... lol
I also hold my class A CDL... licensed since '01.. I do farm trucking on weekends once in a while when I'm not at my 9-5

I know what you're saying man. But what I'm saying is this. Some of the people I've seen disqualified is by no means overweight at all, yet my state says otherwise because they're short. For Example: A friend of mine whom I know has driven alot longer than me goes 6ft 5in. tall and he only weighs 174 lbs. Yet the doctor that just done his D.O.T physical to renew his medical card cut him a break. Sometimes I wonder about law makers these days.

Yep. I know all about that. I quit driving while I was on top because I knew that if I didn't quit driving, I'd probably be dead by now. That and the economy really started to tank and there was just too many drivers sitting and I had truck payment to make so I decided to look for something else to do instead.

It's alot more work than people think it is isn't it. These days I watch out more for other people more than myself. Right now I think it's only in a few states concerning the new regs on weight being based apon people's height and the regs of being required to have a medical just to hold a CDL no matter what class you have. I look for the medical card rule to go federal and maybe even into Canada before long. Some of these regs are rediculous and don't make since on the way they're being interpreted. This was my back up just in case I needed to make some serious money which I do miss having those monster paychecks from time to time. It wasn't nothing to see me come in with a $2,400+ paycheck after taxes and insurance came out of it and during the holidays it would double or even triple if I stayed out long enough.

Here in the U.S. it's every 2 years, I know you live in Canada so I really couldn't tell you about their laws hardly at all. You have dual citizenship don't you?

Well here's a photo of the letter I got last month on the 12th:
Apparently it's federal law according to my DMV, but what else is news.

Re: My CDL is gone....
Obama man, and his wife too. Shes been pushing kids these days to eat better and bullshit, changing school lunches to where even 'fit' people would cry. And shes fat, and was known for being the person who ate the most shit at some cook food show when they had brakes, forgot which show it was, but it was one of the food network. Look it up. Obama and his wife are the ones that start this shit, and after a year or two, they end up pushing it out as a federal law, unknowing to the people since they're passing all this other bullshit like healthcare & shit, and other shit (like the DMV) in the background. A more major problem from being overweight is the painpill problem. If you been getting pain pills of any kind getting filled, they'll prolly end up saying 'oh you had too many this one month' (even if it was only filled & not taken) and get you that way. - I'm a republican; and with my party, I believe in limited government. Not this bullshit where they want to control what you buy, eat, shit, etc; even if its better for X & X reason. These X & X reasons become too much & too hard on us americans.

He'll never get my vote period. Here's what's really upsetting. People are going to vote for Mitt Romney just because he can beat Obama which is indeed wrong. The last time I heard anything concerning healthcare was when he was governor and it caused huge amounts of controversey to say the least. How do we know he aint going to be just as bad if not worse than Obama. That regulation and letter I posted basically takes away the lively hoods of many americans whom worked so hard in keeping a CDL of any class and I'm one of the many. I hope that Newt Gingrich gets the nomination and win because we at least know what we're getting with him and there's no new dirt that we don't know about concerning him.

I don't pay too much attention into the election, as I'm only 18, nor am I going to vote due to that reason. But over all, I believe in limited gov and am a republican. So I would never vote for anyone who wanted to limit us americans. But Obama has fucked us over, and not to be racist, but it was due to all the 18year old-ish black people voting for him just because he was black. Thats how he won. Remember when they would show all the black people in line waiting to vote for Obama on TV? It showed it all the time. Stupid uneducated people voting because of his race & lies. Which is why I'm not voting this time, because I'm too busy being a full time chem student and understand that I don't need to vote because I'm uneducated in that aspect.

It will come in time. I'd go ahead and vote if I was you because you might get into some trouble later on in life and lose that privelage or some disaster might happen and voting may be outlawed for some ridiculous reasons. In my case I have paid taxes from 1990 till 2010. I can no longer physically work and have filed for disability. I ended up getting an attorney because I got turned down. Yet a person whom has never worked a day in their life gets it at the drop of a hat and there's not a single thing wrong with them. I'm facing back surgery here before long (I'll know for sure on the 27th of this month). I think I qualify to receive benefits.
