if your only getting 4 hours i think somethings wrong with it.

try turning off bluetooth (if its on) turning off wifi when not in use, minimal running apps, lower screen brightness, idk man

mine lasts about 10 hours of heavy use before i gotta plug it in. middle screen brightness, 3G gets used a lot. etc.

Turn off Location Services except for what you use daily.

Turn off the auto wifi search and "ask to join new networks" so it will stop searching continually. Look manually when at new spots to find a log in.

Kill any background apps.

Lower screen brightness.

Go ahead and lock the phone as soon as finished with a call or whatever so it does not burn juice waiting on the auto function to kick in.

Finally, get the Batty Doctor app and do a deep cycle recharge whenever it gets below 20%. Sorry, no thumbnail, but the icon looks like a standard Red Cross symbol but with a green background.

iPhone 4 picked it up in August of 2010.
Yeah I've been doing that since day one, I never run Bluetooth, never run wifi, ect. I have it jail broken running a throttling app but it only helped so much.

I just need a new one. This battery has been cycled at least a thousand times.
For background stuff I steam pandora whenever I'm driving all day. I turn it off when I get our and re-open when I get in.

I would still think I should get better battery life but oh well lol

do you plug it in while streaming?

LOL I know that, It was me saying that I missed the 8 hours of usage battery life. It kinda hit a wall at 650-700 cycles.

I stream pandora for hours and have never had issues with battery. If he's only getting 4 hours there is something wrong.

Hahaha Yep! We do them all. Although with a 4th gen iPod he should just be able to take it to Apple and get it replaced for free

I just got a 64GB 4s a couple of weeks ago. Hated to leave my droid, but I got tired of plugging it in to charge by 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning, on the ride home, when I got home, etc. Love that iText works over wi-fi since it's hard to get a consistent cell signal in my office.
