Default Any invisible fence owners?

I have been toying with the idea of the ivisible fence for our dogs. Now that my Husky is back, more thought has gone into it. Annie, the white husky, does not run off. But I dont trust Axle and would feel better with the underground fence about 6ft away from the 6' privacy fence. Kinda a double barrier. Axle will jump the fence, im sure of it.

Any how, anyone using them? are they effective? worth the money?

My brother has them for his 2 dogs, my buddy as well for his 2. I never believed in them but I'll tell ya, the dogs dont leave the yard lol! a few times the wire broke at my brothers house due to bears, the dogs still remembered their limits and never ran off.

We had one, and so did our neighbours. They work great but if the dog ever does get to the other side, they usually don't want to come back. Also have to make sure they know it's ok to pass over with a leash - our dog was fine but our neighbours didn't walk their dogs much (never really) and it was impossible to get them to walk over the 'line'.

My wife has one for our dogs. It works great. We have 3 dogs using it. The beagle is the worst one. We had to raise the correction level on her collar to the highest one. If she got on a scent of something she would go right through it. Otherwise, I think it was well worth the money.

Did the pvc cut down the radius/effectiveness of it?

not at all, works great and I have layout flexability and can even travel with it and set it up in 30 minutes.

I have one, it works great but DO follow the training routine. It takes a couple weeks of solid training but it's worth it, or German Shepard won't leave the yard even chasing her ball or frisbee. Only problem we had was the transmitter that came with the kit wasn't strong enough for our shepherd, it didn't even phase her so we had to get the more powerful one.

they work pretty good unless you have a really stubborn dog that will just run right over it whining like crazy

Thats why you really have to follow the training routine so the dog already knows before they even get shocked that its bad they are in that spot. Without the training they will just run right through the fence line.
