The gift is in the giving ( for the kids ) as well as celebrating Christ's birth ( For us adults )...

And there is a lot of kid in me this time of year ....

I'm happy for my kids. This is the 1st time I've been home for Christmas in 3 yrs. They are 4 and 3 so I think this is going to be the 1st Christmas that they will be able to vaglie remember.

Machine, sorry bout you losing your job. What do/did you do for a living?
The job market sucks. I work in manufacturing, we build packaging production machines, right now we are busy doing ones for Kellogg's cereal and Peterson farms, and Schultz and birtzs, garnola bars and more. We are even expanding, adding on to our building, and they plan on hiring more.

My brother moved to Fargo and found work, actually two jobs, one full time and one part time. All his life he's been lazy and could never keep a job, so i never thought I'd see the day he would have two jobs.

Hopefully you'll find something, when god closes one door he opens another, there's a reason for everything.

My holiday spirit is zero. I activily dont celibrate christmas. Why? Because I dont believe in god. Its a religious holiday and I choose not to submit to the commercialism that has engulfed it out of respect for the original meaning of the day. As for family, I have very poor relations with my family, everyone is extreamly distant and not much of us even get along. I feel that we should be able to come together as a family for reasons other then because society says we have to because its christmas. But yeah I plan on just ridind around on my bike all day tomorrow in la by myself. I have bought no presents and have requisted that I recieve none. Im not ba humbug, I have no issues with christmas, I just choose not to celebrate it personally.

However I am a strong believer in festivus, I celebrate it every yeah with my friends. It was actually yesturday. For those that dont know its a holiday created by a relitive of one of the writers on sienfeld that was popularized by the series. It is a holiday created in response to the comercial and religious aspects of christmas. Its a festivus for the rest of us.

im a grinch, i just dont really participate. in my apartment i have nothing up. never seen the true importancve when everytime i get togeather with family they bitch about something about me or my friends. so its just another day

Sitting at work bored cause no one is here. They are all at home with their families and I'm stuck here. Netflix time. Haha. Oh and I don't get holiday bay for Christmas. And thanks to the government my Christmas bonus doesn't make up for it they took 65% of my bonus.

They should change it to giftmas, because honestly it doesnt seem like christ is as important as the gift to the general public anymore.

I could care less about gifts to tell you the truth. Only reason I don't go to church is my work schedule does not permit me to do so.

I'm not really in the spirit. I bought my own presents just to try to make it better, but I just can't get into the spirit. It's too hot, my financial future is uncertain, I'm homesick, the member of my family that I take after most passed away this year, I don't get along with my mom that well any more, the drive train in my Ranger has more problems than a woman, and plenty of other things.

Regardless, I have a guaranteed job, I have some money, I have a home for now, a vehicle that at least runs, the project truck of my dreams, and somewhat of a family. And that's what I'm holding on to.

I must say, this Christmas has been rather dull. My sister, niece and nephew move out tomorrow, for once in my life there's not a single holiday decoration in my house, and all im doing is thinking about how fast time flies.
