What pipes?

It wasn't my intention to get it so muddy, and I'm not going to do it again....

You won't hurt the truck getting it that muddy. I used to do it to my Revo ALL the time, but then again I used to jump my house with mine too..

I was talking about clogging up your drain pipes. Your plumbing.. It will happen easier than you think just by giving that truck baths like that. Happened to me.

Ah, good point! I never really thought about that. I would have preferred to do it outside, but the hose is put away for the winter.

I'm not really worried about damaging anything by getting it muddy, it's the cleaning process that concerns me. The electronics were CAKED with crap, way too much to clean out by hand, so I sprayed off everything - the motor, the wiring. The servos are waterproof, so I don't worry about those, but Traxxas labels this truck water resistant, not water proof. I tested everything after I cleaned it and everything works fine, but I still don't want to make a habit of directly spraying water right on the guts. Makes me nervous. Although I did see a Youtube video of a guy driving a stock Summit completely submerged in water, the only thing out of the water was the tip of the antenna. But I'd never do something like that.

You should be fine giving it a bath that way. I used to spray with simple green diluted a little cuz mine had nitro residue all over it, then use the shower that way. I later switched to using less water and an old toothbrush on any areas that I was afraid of soaking too much.. Then I'd just sit it close to a heater vent overnight...

Next time you're gonna go mudding with it, try spraying it ahead of time with armor all or something similar. The mud wont stick nearly as bad.

Some guys have used WD40 but I never would.. Although I have swabbed it on electrical connections before..

I just ordered an HPI BLITZ 2wd SC Pre-runner truck
It will be here in a few days.
I paid $270 in total, for the truck, a 3000mAh battery, and a peak charger.

I know, for a solid fact, that I will pour all of my money into this thing for 5-6 months strong lol.

First up will be the brushless and LiPo conversion, and I will more than likely end up having my buddy who works at a machine shop make all the plastic parts out of steel and aluminum.

I want the Summit, though.
I just cannot justify spending $600 out the box....

A lot of people confuse the summit with an oversized revo, but if you ever get a chance to actually see and use a summit, it's completely different.

They are a lot different and you're right to an extent, but the Summit shares about 75% of its parts with the Revo.. The Revo started it all in a sense...

never get sucked into the hobby! i have spent thousands of dollars over the past 10 years on traxxas rc cars and trucks, it was the only brand i liked, i still have 2 or 3 of their trucks somewhere. of course i was involved with nitro and electric, trust me spend 40 dollars a gallon on fuel, for 3 or 4 nitro trucks gets real expensive lol. i finally got away from spending all my money there. Great! now im here, in a more expensive hobby. lol

I'm hoping to get an HPI Blitz soon. I have a losi mini-t right now but its not big enough. Its great for in the house tho. There is a track here near me and they have races almost every weekend.
