Mustang question
Alright so this week I'll be buying my brother-in-law's 92 5.0 5spd stang from him (I'll post pics soon) the first thing I gotta do I rebuild the transmission since the input shaft came out of balance when he blew up the clutch...now on to my question would I be able to put a 94-04 rearend in to that car I want the disc brakes in back...and also is there any difference in a 92 5.0 motor from a 94 5.0 motor I found a trick flow intake but the craigslist ad says for a 94-95? Thanks in advance for any knowledge on this

Re: Mustang question
cant wait to see pics! and as far as the rear end goes, you should be able to make it fit.

Re: Mustang question
To actually answer these questions,
1. Yes you can swap the rear end, but it has a wider track width. So just keep that in mind when you come to picking out wheels.
2. 5.0 is a 5.0 so that intake will fit.

Re: Mustang question
both rear ends are 8.8s the only difference is brakes and width. but the pads on the discs are really small and its a single piston caliper. in my opinion it wouldnt be worth it unless you put bigger calipers on.
idea: if all you want it disc brakes, maybe look into converting your axle to disc.
oh you might run into some pressure difficulties also. dics brakes require a different pressure than drum. the master cylinder makes up the difference. i think that disc takes more pressure than drum but it might be the other wat around..

Re: Mustang question
There is speed density and MAF 5.0's. I know in the F series, MAF did not come till 95. Probably 94 for the stang. So find out what system you have first.
