I wouldn't worry about the braking controller, many trucks come with them from the factory and even if it didnt, these trucks are made for towing. The plug issue with thatvgen is that they blow out of the head but the people that actually have those issues is very few and far between, I wouldn't worry about that either.

You're easing my mind. I am going to have a mechanic check it out as well.

my boss has the exact same truck (besides his being black) and he has 155k miles on it. runs like a champ, never had any major issues. Sounds good with exhaust too

Re: Thinking of test driving this in the morning
What size tire should I look for if I want to upgrade? I probably wont for a while, but idk how big to go. I won't be lifting it at all, its already big as hell. I think the stock tire size is 265/70/17 or something close to that.

I like it! I wanted one just like that before I found my Ranger and thought it'd probably be better to get a little truck for my first car as long as it can fit my dirt bike. How much are they asking?

Re: Thinking of test driving this in the morning
Carfax is clean, loan is all set, and I am putting it up on a lift tomorrow at 6. If my mechanic doesn't find any issues, I'll be driving it home tomorrow night.
