Apparently they blow spark plugs with 5.4L manufactured up to Nov. 2002. So if you buy a 2003+ you should be okay.

well he didnt fix it...he heli-coiled the bad plug hole put the plug back in and traded the truck in lol

Surprise for the next owner I see . I think Obsolete might be looking at another truck instead . or perhaps he is doing research on the 5.4L

I still like this truck, its got really low miles, and the thing is stupid clean. Its got a trailer braking system too.

the trailer brake would make me a little leary...just me though

Do you have the year of the truck? Even though it has low miles, the plugs may still blow at any given time.

I will be asking about the service history, and discussing warranties. I will most definitely grab the powertrain warranty if I get this truck.

Perhaps ask the dealership to swap the head from a 6 thread to 12 thread and then warranty that?
