Ford Five Hundred Problems
So my moms car has a few things wrong with it that she wants me to fix for her because shes put a lot of money into it already and doesn't want to take it in anywhere. So here's a few of the problems I'm hoping you guys could help me out with. First thing is her backup sensors (rss) don't work. The switch on the dash just stays lit up on OFF. If you press it nothing happens. Also her heated seats arent working . Same thing with those switches. I looked in the manual and they were both in there as the same fuse so I checked that fuse and it was still good so I'm kinda out of ideas. Im so lost when it comes to electrical on cars. So any help is appreciated, Thanks guys

Re: Ford Five Hundred Problems
even though the fuse looks good, pull it and replace it, and see what happens
I had a fuse go bad in my ranger, but it still looked alright. I put a new one in, and bam, problem solved

Re: Ford Five Hundred Problems
If the fuse doesn't fix the problem, check the line voltage. I had a car once do the same thing. The electric seats, hvac controls, 4X4 switch, etc. wouldn't work. Ended up being a bad ignition switch. Voltage was only about 3.5 from the switch. Replaced it and everthing started working again.
