Ford finally getting into the transit market
Scooby Stew sent me some magazines showing the UK ford transit vehicles. They had this really cool van I thought would be perfect for the US market for small business delivery type. I know most auto part stores use the Ranger XL.
I know Dodge had that big van they pushed for the same type market. i dunno that it was that popular due to how big it was. My neighbors company has one and he hates how big and top heavy it is
Here is a link to the US transit van coming 2010
Here is a picture from the UK magazine.

they have a bunch of transits at the local dealership. the ford sales person we buy from brought one over to a business to show us it. not impressed personally, very small compared to an E-150, the gas mileage is not SO much better than the vans. and their cramped. thats from an a/c company perspective though, it might be better for, say, a flower company

Yea I saw one here at the dealer when I was getting my oil changed. If it wasn't so early in the morning and wouldn't have had 100billion sales people showing up to bug me I would have went ant looked inside of it.

I know a lot of flower shops and medical supply type places would benifet more than a ac repair or plumber.
I know we could use one at work for what he currently use our old chevy mini van for LOL

I've owned a few Ford Transits. They're ok and run quite cheap on diesel. But the VW transporter is probably a better built van. There are thousands of em over here. The one in the first picture is called the sport van and is just an overpriced sticker and wheel package. They do a chassis cab version with tipper body on which is quite usefull.

they look to be the same size as a ranger, so i could see how they would be useful for a company that uses rangers but needs their products protected from the elements, for being so small i would've expected 25 mpg city and more hwy

They are already all over the place here in Virginia Beach... Beach Ford is one of the largest Ford dealerships on the East Coast and they got tons when they were first being sent out...and sold quickly!

I checked them out Saturday. Engine is built and vehicles assembled in... Turkey. Yes, Turkey. Go figure. World wide Ford coming to America. They look basic from the inside and OK from the outside. bring back the Made in America vehicles.
