As stated before, age is a number, but even if you are 23 and she is 42, just remember that when you arein your late 20s and perhaps want kids and a family, she will be close to her 50s and may not want that. Age doesnt make or break a relationship but more what you seek in life. You may want things that you never experienced before that she already has and doesnt want anymore. As long as you are both honest with each other from the beginning then it shouldnt be an issue.

hey, I had a "date" with a woman who was 45, when I was 30 once!
blind date - she had blonde hair, green eyes, 5'7" 135 lbs (sounds ok to me)
we meet. the height/weight matches close enough, hair is blonde, eyes are green.
BUT BUT.... she looks like hell. her face is that brown leathery color, she smokes (nobody told me this, and I hate being around smokers) now, when I say "smokes" I'm not talking "smoking hot" I mean actual smoking and it looks like she started when she was 7 years old and smoked 3 packs a day for 38 years. she may have been 45, but looked at least 60. oh, and her teeth where tobacco brown/niccotine yellow colored.
But, HEY! I was on a date with a blonde 45 year old!! - eww, Never again will i ever assume women in their 40's are all "Hot"

The last 5 years of my life has been nothing but serious relationships (2 of them) that ended in sorrow. Im tired of the bullshit of "relationships". Im going to have some fun. Im 23 years old and realize now Im not ready to settle down.

Just because it isn't a "forever thing" doesn't mean it's a waste of time. IMHO, nothing is a waste of time as long as you had fun, had good memories, good experiences, and learned something along the way.

Hmmm theres some good in there Tom and some I disagree

. I went into my current and only relationship looking for the forever right at the age of 17. I would never go into a relationship knowing that there was no chance it would last. But then again you never know for sure down the road how long it will last also. You just have to go in there thinking its right but realisticly realize there is chance down the road you could end up alone. I am glad my relationship of 5 years is going down the path its going

I just hope for that for everyone on here thats looking for that fantastical one true love (Fairybook for some, Endless and hard to find for some, but its out there)

as for age being a number, it matters to some but not to others, i am kinda sorta talking to a 30 yr old and im 22 also got a 31 yr old number yesterday, then tried getting a 33 yr old number and i know she into me but she said she had a dude but if she didnt she'd sure hit me up

but i alos look older than i am
drawbacks to dating an older woman/man, you have to be mature.

Honestly, that's the way I'm thinking now. I'm 19 years old and I'm looking for a forever type thing. I've stopped dating girls whom I know I will never marry. And, I'm just looking for a girl I can see myself marrying and having kids with.
