I would, (if youre talknig about the recent Nissan GTRs.) is it the ultimate super car to be in the same category as the Ferrari enzo, Merc Maclaren, Paganis, etc. No. I would put it in the same category as the Porsche RS Gt3, etc.

X2. Let's face the facts here. Nissian has indeed upped their game and redesigned one of their most popular trucks, the frontier. The import car scene has changed over the years and has forced the big 3 to add features that in the past, you'd only see on an import. They're also alot better priced than the big 3, so I feel that you get your money's worth. Lets also face the facts that imports are NOT held back by the CAFE standards, and yet often exceed them. I consider the new Skyline GTR-35 to be a super car. I looked at one in a showroom down in TN and the numbers that I saw being advertised were pretty significant. Plus the exotic factor due to the fact that any Skyline built before this model was and is pretty hard to get here in the states. There's alot of red tape involved and I was told that it's also pretty difficult to register due to emissions standards being different, I really don't know for sure about that though.

i would disagree. i think it is TONS better than the last gen skyline/ infinity G series. for 90k it is hard as balls to get a car with a hand built motor in a clean room as well as a transmission that is matched to the exact engine in your car. plus some cars have been dyno'd with over 500 wheel horsepower stock. they perform very well, except for the launch control and transmission issues they were having, but on track days they seem to handle buttonwillow/ willow springs very well. interior is very nice, but then again everything is when you're used to driving a ford with dirt everywhere. plus it just looks stunning, from the 4 exhaust tips and circular tail lights in the rear to the huge rims, low stance, and the whole front clip. i love it.
from a tuning perspective i don't think much else is needed to be done. maybe exhaust to delete the cats, but when you have a car that nissan has engineered to be cutting edge, throwing turbos or other power adders at it seems so.... elementary. there are a lot of 'super' cars out there that are built more for looks and status than performance, where as nissan seems to have hit both square on the head with this car.

Exactly my friend. Not mention the performance upgrades that you can get through Nissian. They have a killer suspension upgrade for the Skyline GTR-35 that is suppose to make it handle even better. I think Nissian hit a grand slam with the new Skyline GTR-35 myself.

Re: skyline gtr
I work on the R35. It's heavy and overpriced. The R34 is a much better car.

I do agree with the price tag. But I don't really know how much it weighs. If it is heavy as you say it is, then I'll pick the R-34 with today's technology. Infiniti is over priced too and way over rated. I like to call it an overpriced Altima myself.

I have to disagree. Mustang and challengers have approx 420 HP and are RWD. GTRs have more then 500 HP and are Awd.

I agree to this as well. The Skyline GTR is unique and it's not just about the power numbers either. Look at how all of the vehicles, handle and perform in addition to the power numbers.

This statement is 100% wrong. The r35 will laugh in the face of either of these american cars, the only american car that stands a chance is the ZR1.

There is more to fast than power ratings. Hell the evolution IX has 300 hp and will spank mustang or challenger.

Today's technology makes cars greener, safer and more economical. It does not make them faster. There is no substitute for an old fashioned, closed deck block with big turbo.

I know that. I was refering to what's under the hood of the new GTR and all of the other upgrades that have been added to improve things like handling and performance. There's alot more than just power my friend. That's what I'm saying. The GTR-35 has alot of new technology under the hood that does make the car a little more economical, but alot of that car's technology is towards performance. If people are paying $95,000 plus for this car, then economy is the last thing on anyone's mind that is buying it. Now do you get what I'm saying? A Skyline of any model aint cheap at all.
