We have almost every type of thread in this forum -- except for what saying in the English language drives you nuts.

For me, it used to be "I could care less" because if one could care less, then why don't they, so he/she really means, "I care so little that I can't care any less".

But, what really gets me is the saying, "Fatally wounded" because if one is wounded, there is still life left, so "fatally wounded" is basically a nicer way of saying that someone was killed? I just think that it is awkward because there is no difference in meaning between saying, "Joe Blow was killed in a car wreck today" vs. "Joe Blow was fatally wounded in a car wreck".

I think the saying was originally "I couldn't care less." But people don't pay attention when they speak and say "I COULD care less."

haha or how someone says can i get your VIN number?? lol when VIN stands for vehicle identification number so in truth when someones says VIN number theyr saying can i get your vehicle identification number number. haha

Also words that annoy me like:
grody: gross
uber: super

SWAG is a word that makes me want to strangle the person saying it.

And same with ISBN and EAN (all end with NUMBER and people still say number afterward) The redundancy is much like with VIN.
