2 things that caused this. The eves dont overhang far enough, so when it rains, the water falls off the roof and hits the bottom of the door. The 2nd, is the deck is about an inch higher than the floor. So the water pools there. I need to lower the deck, install a gutter (at least over the deck area) and Ice shield from the inside, out, around and down the exterior wall. They also have the flashing the wrong way, so its basically a funnel into the door way
And those two things are not the home makers fault. It should have gutters anyways, and you should have properly measured for the deck.

deck was already installed. House was put here in 99, im 2nd owner in 07. Gutters are on the way!

It was on sale for like .73 or so plus, stacey gets a 10% discount at menards....employee discount FTW!

I think it came out to right around $1/sq ft. with the underlayment and tape

Looks good! I scraped a hallway and laundry room of that stuff! No fun to get it back up. I finished laying the last room of laminate yesterday. just have four small closets left. i bought 1500sqft of laminate for a little less than what you paid. I found it at lumber liquidators. not sure how many bags of padding i've bought now, so i can't really tell how much it worked out to be.

I guess I should add: The wood floor went all the way to the door prior to new door install. So the tile will be like the mud room area.

also being an employee of menards here i hope you put an adhesion promoter down under those peel and sticks lol if not oh well it just helps them stick better in long run.

nope! FAIL! hahahahaha. I just primed the floor with latex primer. There actually sticking pretty well, better than I expected.
