Re: Lookin at a gun.
save some more money and buy a nice 45acp,
the number 1 people stopper period.
if you just want a plinker buy a 22 as a matter of fact if your new to guns buy a 22. ammo is cheap and aftre your comfortable then buy the 45acp or whatever you like.
always practice safe gun handling if you are new. a gun safety class or a good friend who know about guns to show you would be a very good idea.
good luck and have fun.I never came of the shooting range with a frown on my face.............unless my weopon malfunctions.

Re: Lookin at a gun.
I love my Gen 4 Glock 23. I have put a lot of rounds through it (cheap rounds too!) and have had NO problems. The interchangeable back straps fit my hand well because of my long fingers.

Re: Lookin at a gun.
As far as rounds go... What makes the difference between FMJ and MC rounds?

Re: Lookin at a gun.
Save your money and get a M&P, Glock or a Springfield.

Why a 45 because they don't make a 46.
And shooting twice is just silly

Re: Lookin at a gun.
Not fan of the sigma's, go with an M&P if you want to stick with smith &wesson. Or the sringfield XD series is always a good choice. Also something to look at my brother just got a ruger sr40 and it shoots really well. I have had the Ruger sr9 for a while now and I have no complaints about it. You just have to go shop around find something that feel comfortable for you. Like me, im not a fan of glocks at all, I can shoot really well with them, I just don't like guns that feel like plastic.

Re: Lookin at a gun.
I looked at one two years ago, but ended up with a glock GAP 45 instead. Not a bad gun for the money though.

Not at all, the common complaint is the trigger pull. I like the heavy trigger.
