Quote:
We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.
Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.
His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

Re: RIP Steve Jobs
I guess it's time to pretend I care about someone who orchestrated the biggest trends in electronics of all time by exploiting hipsters and their trust funds.

Re: RIP Steve Jobs
The world has lost a true visionary and a genius. His ideas and dreams have forever changed technology. Rest in Peace.
[EDIT]Came across this on Gizmodo...very fitting.

Couldn't agree more. Still, I am shocked. My browser just had a banner headline, "News. Steve Jobs. Dead". I'm still taking it all in. A great man, who in some respects reminds me of Henry Ford -- not the first one, but different in his approach. Definitely, a sad day.
Edit: Surprised noone posted an official announcement of his passing, so here is what I found on our local news website http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/nat...-jobs-has-died

Re: RIP Steve Jobs
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life."
-Steve Jobs
and to lighten the mood, as someone on another forum said: he must have been more pissed than the rest of us at the iPhone 4s release
