Yeah the Colorados are still out there but they are far from popular. They are junk. Friend of mine bought one brand new last year, had it six months then traded it in.

Whom ever designed those was on crack imo. It's the same deal with the new F150. The new F150 has alot of features and functions pretty well, but the body shape of it looks like a turd on wheels imo.

You got that right. I'd love to have what ever they're smoking up there in Detroit, MI right now that's for sure.

Yep they're still making them and both are junk. But at least we can say GM is trying to do something within the light/medium duty truck market. The only smart thing that GM done with both the colorado and Canyon was offer a V8 in both.

----------

Basically I think Ford needs to either redesign the ranger or come out with something that's new and fresh, but at the same time familiar. They're too interested in the European truck and car market. If they keep shoving F150's down people's throats they'll end up paying the price 2 times more than what they want to.

Very true, Ranger has got to be the #1 fleet vehicle. Not only for auto parts stores... A lot of pool cleaning companies use them. Indiana uses them for road construction work and the DNR uses them. My truck is a retired fleety for a catering company.

Basically if it wasn't for fleet sales, the ranger would've already been gone and who knows what we'd be driving in its place.

L.O.L. That's funny man. But I'd call it something else though. Something kool that captures the imagination, and when they see it they'd buy one in a heartbeat. You guys would love my design ideas that I have in mind for the old ranger platform. I'd design and build something that looks like Darth Vader would drive and still be tougher than shoe leather and it wouldn't be that bad at all concerning the price either. It would be something that everyone can afford no matter what the people's budget is.

No joke man. They basically handed the light/medium duty truck market to their competitors on a silver platter. The Nissian Frontier for this coming model year looks pretty sharp too. They changed alot of things with the Frontier. I wouldn't mind having one with the Skyline GTR35 engine in it myself. A light/medium duty truck with a V6 that's pushing nearly 500 horses and over 480 ft lbs. of torque would be a sweet deal. Ford needs to think along those lines and come up with a better body style just as long as it's not the current F150's body style because it looks like something I coughed up this morning. The only thing I didn't like about the new frontier was the dash board. It gives new meaning to the term butt ugly doesn't it?

i kinda wished they would have stuck with F-100 idea. if they were completely against the ranger coming back. then in my opion they would still have a compact truck out there at least. but like the eariler post, people might think of it as another full size pic up an get sick of it... i hope ford knows what there doing. cause if they let it go like this right now everyone else will jump on it an kill them out. i think ford is awsome. but if they don't do something. i have a really strong feeling that the only thing thats going to be on the road is nothing but tacomas.... but if there is one thing i know. i know i won't be one of them driving one. i would rather push my ranger up the road with no hope at all that it would run again than drive a tacoma.
