Your gonna hate yourself come winter time unless you invest in a hard top and a set of hard doors...

I have my 96 ranger for winter. This would be strictly a summer truck. As my 01 is now

well, I started with a 97 ranger, traded that for this 01, then possibly trading back to a 97, so I dont think its to bad. wrangers are just like the rangers, they didnt change from 97-06

The only other thing i can think of is i noticed he didnt mention the A/C or heater. Those year Jeeps tend to have bad heater cores and Fans motors....

I had a 97, looked just like that, had hard and soft top, loved it, would go anywhere.
The only thing I didn't like was the A/C and heat sucked balls, and the gas mileage.

Otherwise, very fun to drive and wheel

This is one hell of a deal, wranglers hold their price so well and are tough. Id love to find a wrangler for 8k around here, usually those are very early 90s and not nearly as nice as this one. I say go for it, after a test drive and a good look threw

get it. those jeeps are selling for $10,000 or more in Minnesota.
the average selling price of a 1995 jeep wrangler 4.0 with under 150,000 miles is around $10,000

Wow it's the first time i see that we get better deals on anything.

I just did a quick search, ford gave me a '99 TJ for 6400$ which was stock but SAHARA (remember, a stock jeep is worth a lot more than a modified one) and no rust.

The second was this one:

http://qc.kijiji.ca/c-autos-et-vehic...AdIdZ316174928

2001 jeep sahara with all the bells and whistles for 7300$ but the owner posts he is very open to offers (and doesn't clutter up the description with useless clutter like "it has wires", he has real mods), truck has a little rust over the front wheels which is normal for jeeps.

Took me a minute. Imagine if i was in the market.

I like it! I'd go for the trade. I like Jeeps, seems like a decent rig, price ain't to bad if it's a straight trade.

What transmission is it? If it's the AX-15, they're a great tranny, but if anything ever happens to them, good luck finding another one. Hell there's 2 shops in my area that wont even touch them to rebuild them. And no JYs have them in stock.
