Stepped on a nail today.
So i was at my buddies house and had flip flops on i step on a roofing tack and i get taken to the ER and they jack me up on 5 different shots and an xray then take it out and 6 hours later i get to go home. Bad timing with my cruise on sunday.

Point? Too much of a baby to pull it out and get a tetanus shot?

Re: Stepped on a nail today.
Them florida boys can't handle the pain. lol... A nail through the foot is nothing compared to snapping your femur in half (speaking from experience in both fields).

Re: Stepped on a nail today.
i stepped on a screw once, when i noticed it i took the screw out, realized blood was going everywhere, then screwed it back in and went to the er, and snapping your femur is nothing compared to literally shooting your knee cap outa your knee, or shattering every bone in your hand and wrist

Re: Stepped on a nail today.
I can't tell you how many times I've stepped on nails. I'm pretty sure a few members on here can even tell you how bad one was, since I sent pictures of one of them with my camera phone, lol. Never once went to the ER (tetanus shot a few years ago FTW!). I guess you southerners are kinda wimpy.

Re: Stepped on a nail today.
Well apparently my scanner software sucks and won't let me save any scan over 2GB, so I just had to screenshot the preview which you can't really see detail in...
Anyway, I put an arrow pointing to my break. Was in the hospital for four days.

Re: Stepped on a nail today.
Stepped on nails before , they dont hurt as much as driving a 1 1/2 nail through your thumb . the worst pain a male can ever experience is having a heart attack , it is even more painful than getting kicked in the nuts. I know this from experience as I had a heart attack 3 years ago
. Here in Canada , when one steps on a nail all you get is a tetanus shot ,they are good for 10 years

I thought they were good for 7 years?
And how often have you gotten kicked in the nuts? Lol.
Worst pain I've ever been in was after I broke my back. Only cracked one vertebrae on the left side (couldn't tell you what number it was since I didn't really care, lol) but it hurt so bad I can't even think of anything to compare it to. Only took about a week off and then I was back on light duty windshield time, lol.

Lucky you to be back to work in 7 days. I was on the couch for at least twice that. One night my cat jumped up on my bad leg too.
Other than the femur, I have been lucky enough to only suffer from one other indecent.
This past year I broke the top rib on my right side and had to lay in bed in one spot for almost a month for it to heal. (sleeping pills FTW)
