Blue collar for sure. Half my family seems to be farmers, and the other half is pretty much mechanics.

I'm blue too, been my who 20 + years of working. Darn, thought maybe I'd get lucky like John GOodman in King Ralph and have some long lost royal member in my family come along and tell me I inherited some family inheritance from England (my roots).

Ya but technically you are classified white collar cause that is your main source of income.

If you are salary and don't get your hands dirty at work, you could be classified as white collar.
I was salary for 10 years and got dirty doing installs and removals on a daily basis, but then the company I worked for then was all salary from the guy hired yesterday to the guy who owned the company.
Salary doesn't always mean white collar, it just means you know what every paycheck will be, unless you get a good evaluation and a raise.
So you end up with salaried, blue collar, and most make a better base wage than hourly, but when you don't get paid OT, you start to loose.

To most occupations and employers that is correct.
The only reason I took the job was the benefits, never had any as good before or after, I got my first raise 180 days after starting the job and every 6 months there after till I got to what the employer considered his top pay.
The down side of that job was the travel involved, I spent 2 years out of country with a visit home for the holidays each year, that sucked, but the money was great, wish I still had some of it. HA HA

I used to work for a company that merchandised the rough electrical and plumbing department at Lowes. Most of the Lowe associates I worked alongside were cool, but you had some that well . . . weren't worth it.
