ok so it was my uncles 50th bday and so we went to party etc... me and my gf started heading home(45min drive) and she started getting really sick(she diabetic) and so i flew to her house helped her out, she puked, etc. her parents then took care of her.. so i left and started heading home and i was drivin home doin 40 in a 25 cus i wanted to get home cus i got work tomaro morn.
on my way home i passed the cop and kne i was gettin pulled over and he did. he was in a rush so he didnt tlk much, just said that im gettin a ticket in the mail for doin 25 in a 20.....(cus it was by a church or some bs..)

what are my chance of not getting this on my record or how bad wld this effect me because im goin to school this fall and taking criminal justice, will this hurt me down the long run? im like freakn out.. 1st offense ever

Nah. take driving school. ticket gets removed from your record. but dont get another ticket in the same year cause you can only take driving school once a year or maybe its once every 6 months....?

It all depends, I know in Arizona first ticket and one ticket every two years, can be completely wiped away with Traffic School...When you get mailed the ticket it should have the info on what you can do. And no it should not haunt you its a not a felony offensive.

I think the class I took to get it off the record here in Arizona was around 170...not bad I thought just 8 hours of hell...but it doesn't give you points or go on the record, and speeding tickets in Arizona go off the record every 3 years.

Pay the ticket and move on, be happy the cop cut you a break. You broke the law and got caught, take the punishment and learn from your mistake. Youre not going to be denied a job in law enforcement because of a speeding ticket.

You might get lucky and not even sent a ticket, he might have tried to scare you, I don't know we are given tickets right away.
