shoot, I had food poisoning last year, and went to the hospital. That, was the most expensive band aid, IV, and ice chips I've ever had. haha

Hell when my mom passed away last September the ambulance ride and the hospital cost 20,000 worse part was the god damn doctors don't have to do anything but pronounce her...the EMTs knew she was gone before leaving the house

If you itemize the bill correctly
You will probably notice that there a few EXTRA
Items on the list that you didn't even have!
A lot of hospitals add in a couple extra shot costs
And maybe a wheel chair and crutches as well
They usually don't get caught!
Until I had to pay out of pocket!
I dropped about $3000 off the original tag

i went the the urgent care 3 times, and ER once for Lymes disease that they took a while to figure out, only have to pay 475 bucks for about 6k worth of stuff. ER was 1500 for him to look at my Lyme Disease rash marks and say allergic reaction to some other medication. Never had an allergy before, he gave me vicoden for the headaches and told me to go back to work. Actually made me unhappy, because i had to go back to the urgent care to get it actually diagnosed.

Two weeks ago my dad was taken to the hospital for a rapid heart beat. They determined that he needed a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted to help control his heartrate.

He spent a total of 23 hours in the hospital, and in that 23 hour period, spent a total of 89 thousand and some change, just at the hospital. This doesn't include the Dr's fees that will come in later.

Better hope so. Some insurance plans won't let a woman get pregnant for 9 months or will cover the whole pregnancy but not some. I had to verify with my insurance that my wife would be covered due to the fact that she was added to my policy after becoming pregnant.

20,000. Thats it? I had twins in April who stayed in the NICU for two weeks. That bill was 120,000, and i'm still getting bills in the mail for other tests and specialists who saw them. Thank god for insurance is right.
