I would...it just depends if you are ready to be father like...I was 17 and dated a 20 year old with a 2 year old...you just need to know that things come up with the kid and there is not much she can do about it...and I say father like cause you will need to be a "role model" around the kid cause if it does turn into anything the kid will pcik up on your habits...

It all depends if there was drama between the girl and the kids father. If they were always at each other because of this or that it would make it hard.

I have 3 "God" kids, and my youngest sisters is about to turn 6. For me, this isn't a big deal. But you have to look at what you are willing to handle. Like what was already said...in a way, you are being the father figure to the kid, and have to lead by example. Because that's how kids learn. There will be awkward moments where the kid may barge in on some activities that you may not have expected etc. That's all I got. I say if she's hot, you're interested, and you can put up with a kid, who probably won't make it any more awkward then if your best friend was always with you...you are going to be just fine seeing this girl.

I agree... it really depends.... you have to look at how ready you are for a kid, how the relationship between her and her ex is, how old the kid is... etc...

I dated a guy with 2 kids and the drama between him and his ex was a lot to deal with but he got it under control near the end of our relationship. The kids were 5ish and 7ish and really were open to me and we got along really well. The situation was good for me 'cause his ex had custody like 60-75% of the time so I wasn't really worried about not still having that "couple" time. Now that the relationship is over the hardest part for me was letting go of the kids! lol

The only thing that's really holding me back is that there is a lot of drama between her, and the baby daddy.. And I don't want to get involved in the drama.

If there's alot of drama and the kid is only a baby then your best bet would be to stay away for a while until the mess is settled. It really depends on how much you're willing to put up with and how much patience you have as well. Having children or a relationship with someone who has children carries alot of responsibilty. And at the young age of 18, you might not be quite ready for such a huge responsibilty just yet. At your age alot of people are just finishing highschool and starting adulthood. So what ever you decide to do just keep all of the advice you've received in mind before you make your decision.

Is she ~18 also? How responsible of a person do you think she is if she already has a kid? I would stay far far far far away from dating someone who has a kid at such a young age.

I would say to back off.... might be worth being friends for awhile until everyone grows up a little but if you're not interested in or can't handle that then I'd say it's not for you.

That's good to hear man, because you're only 18 and your life is really just starting now. And if she is the same age as you, that doesn't speak very well for her responibility at all. There's nothing wrong with having children mind you, but at the age of 18 is a little bit too young to be starting a family.
