Default Update

Hi all,

This forum has gotten so big that I'm not sure if anybody noticed, but I've been pretty quiet over the last few months. The truth is that after I bought my Mustang, I met up with a local club specifically for Mustangs and I've been spending most of my time with them and on their forums. Also, my Ranger was having problems with the steering rack and odd RPM issues, so I didn't even want to look at it for a while.

The good news is that over the weekend, a couple of friends and I finally got my third steering rack in, and hopefully the seals won't blow on this one. After taking out the tune on my truck, we quickly got a trouble code and found that my TPS isn't reading correctly, which is why my truck was recently idling at WOT - I originally thought that I had killed the fan clutch. It's probably also the reason why the truck was not able to go above 2,000RPM in any gear except for first. I'll be picking up a new TPS today, so hopefully that will fix my running issues. Although I love driving the Mustang, I can't wait to get the Ranger back on the road and onto the trails again.

This weekend we also installed a Flowmaster American Thunder axle back exhaust on the Mustang. It sounds great, shed about 10 pounds from the car and made a noticeable difference in the power. I told Clinton I'd post up a few photos for him, and I've also got a video clip of the exhaust my friend Matt made. So, here ya go.

Thanks.

These mustangs are a blast to drive, it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I love the stang turn it into gt500 look that would be bad ass...

I know the pain on the power steering rack, I am on my 5th now. blowing seals like crazy one was a bad rebuild i mean bad. this one is sealed got it from o'reilly, I am almost positive this one has a missing tooth on the rack. I have a spare and I think I am gonna rebuild that and swap that one in... if you lived closer I have putting a new rack down to about 20-40 min tops lol its sickening

I may actually get a flat black super stripe for it, I've seen it once before and it looks awesome.

Those wide ass tires can't be helping you. We were moving at about the same pace. I've got a 26 gallon air tank now with an impact wrench and air socket, so we move through it real quick. Best Christmas present ever.

Inside the car, or outside? I might be able to do that on Friday inside of the car... outside might be too risky in my town.

As they say, you gotta pay to play. Luckily the steering racks aren't too expensive compared to some of the things I've broken.

Those lights can be changed up to 300 different colors - it's something that comes with the premium package by Ford called, "My Color."

Thanks for the offer, but it would kill my Ford lineup if I did that.
