.40 Cal Handguns???? / What I went with..
Well I'm looking to buy a handgun I decided I want a .40 cal but I'm undecided and which one to get. I've narrowed it down two:
+ Smith & Wesson Sigma + Glock Model 22 If you have ever use one of these guns please give me your feedback...

Glock 22 FTW!!! Sigma's are OK but they are on the low end of quality for Smith and Wesson. A Glock is the better choice in this case.
I shot a Glock 19 which is the 9mm version of the 22 and I love it. Have also shot the 22 and it is a great gun. Shot the Sigma in .40 as well and there is a little to much slop in the action for what I like. Just my $.02

I have a Walther p99 40 and love it. But my dads sig 226 4040 is really sweet

i would pick the glock, i actually have a springfield xd 40, i fired the glock after i got it, and the xd i like better. havent fired the other.

ha yeah the xd is like 600 or 700 i forget. i got mine for free, so i cant complain, still i like it compared to my buddies glock.

Glock over S&W in semi's, Ruger over S&W in revolvers, a .40 is nice but 9mm with quality defensive ammo as carry and Wal-Mart ammo to practice with more manageable.

Out of those two, Glock.
I carry a Springfield XD40 SC. I sold my Glock to purchase the XD. I'm glad I did it. I got mine for 490 bucks out the door. Glocks and Springfields are around the same price depending on what you get and where you shop. Like I tell everyone, don't just purchase a gun from the first gun shop/show or online site you find. Shop around. Deals are out there.

.40 S&W is ok I personally shoot big boy guns (.44 Mag/Spc or .45ACP) 9mm is WAY over rated. I buy my firearms for both fun at the range and to blow that mother fucker's face off who breaks into my house. XD is a little nicer than Glock the pistol girp angle is much more comfortable for most shooters. You can never go wrong with Walther. To those downing S&W I think they know how to make good guns they have been doing it long before we were around. If your looking for conceal I would say like a 1911 officers or a full sized. Colt is pricey but good. Springfield makes one for 500 which is really nice. Taurus is good, Citadel which is own by Legacy Intl. I think Glock is over rated and don't do Beretta M9. They suck that's why special forces use 1911s.

My first duty weapon was a glock 22 .40 and I loved it, never had any problems with it.... Its ready to care for easy to clean and ready to repair (you won't have to do it lol). My new duty gun is a POS baretta 9mm and I can't stand it lol...

A S&W M&P40 would be more comparable to a G22 than the Sigma.
I have a M&P9 and a 2nd Gen G22 and I really like the changable grip inserts on the M&P. It's my long-term plan to buy a M&P40 and sell the others. Haven't tried the newer gen Glocks, they have some changeable grip inserts. Could depend upon your hand/grip size... The adjustable Glock sights suck, change 'em out for plain three dot, preferrably tritium with white outlines, eg trijicon. Both of these handguns (handsguns LOL) are full-size for ccw... Us Canadians are not so lucky to be able to legally ccw - if I was, For this full-size category I'd carry my S&W1911PD (4.25") in .45. I have the gunsite model, cost twice what the Glock cost me...
