Trail riding, don't go fullsize. The smaller the better. Old CJ, Minimog, Samauri, Sunrunner, these are all great trail trucks with a couple thousand thrown into them. Thney are small, they have a short wheelbase, not much wider than a big quad, and can go everywhere because of their size. 4" lift on one of these guys is equivilant to 8"+ on a big fullsize truck, because of the wheelbase and frame clearance. You crawl over things, whereas a longer vehicle, you get the front over, drop down, and then start bringing the rear over, forcing the need for more clearance and bigger tiries.
Hell, put a Samuri on 30's and they're fantastic.

Yup, that's the little guy I was posting about earlier, amazing! Initial cost is so low that even fully modding keeps you under budget.

Yep, like their factory E-locker option. The Taco isn't "better," it's just WAY newer than the Ranger platform. And cause Ford knowingly and willingly killed the Ranger.

The Ranger is to Ford what Caylee Anthony is to Casey Anthony.
