Subjective question. WHat will you be using it for? Trail riding? Rock crawling? Mudding? Desert racing?
I've seen too many of these dam posts lately. How the hell do you expect to get an accurate answer if you can't ask an informative question? Because every type of offroading has a different vehicle that you want.
Case in point: Ram 3500 CTD CCLBDRW is going to suck at rock crawling because of the width and length. But they can be good in the mud, because they're wider in the rear enabling them to float above the ruts.

Foust is a rally and drift champion, not a pro truck racer.

Also, what closed course? I don't think we're talking about the same show.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA what a fucking joke. i test drove a brand new one on the lot and the CEL came on and it went into limp mode.

leather does not belong in an off road vehicle.

And we should believe you for what reason?

I read the interview with a SVT white collar. The owners were pushing the Raptor's past what they were designed for. Yes its an off road truck, but its not a purpose built trophy truck.

Being new to Ranger ownership but having been involved with Range Rovers in the UK for many years (and mucho dinero!) I'll mention this.
Our RR club would regularly go on off-road trails (precious few in the UK and disappearing as walkers and bikers demand safe passage) and despite the incredible ability of the RR's to crawl over the most inhospitable terrain we would often bog down in deep, slushy mud beds.
Whilst winching the latest victim out we would be passed by a bunch of minute Suzuki SJ's (not sure the model designation over here) that with their light weight and skinny wheels sailed through the bogs with ease.
Thus proving that superior technology and brute horsepower aren't always the answer...

Yet the Recall has nothing to do with the Frame SMH

yeah, rally takes place on dirt sometimes, and he IS a professional driver. i doubt you're going to argue that the race between the raptor and the parachutist took place in a random patch of desert in arizona. it was a farm that someone owns and gave them permission to use.

me working in the desert industry and being involved with it before that has nothing to do with it, i'll tell you that much.

can't argue with that, but people push the limits of their vehicles every day. threads on here about 'can i tow this,' mud bogging and hitting red line for minutes on end, etc. pushing the limits off road is what we've all done at one point or another. if there is in fact a recall on the raptors for frame issues, then its because ford acknowledges a problem with their design, and the truck isn't "built ford tough"

that one doesn't, it could be that it isn't posted yet.
