I think we need a thread honoring those who have died in recent foreign conflicts. Each time we find out about a death of a local soldier overseas, post up his name, age, rank, etc in the thread. Give them the recognition they deserve.

Not entirely true since drug counselors and doctors think that some people are wired differently when it comes to addiction. Some individuals can go out have a couple drinks and be fine while others can't. She was still a human being.

+1, and surprisingly the news today released info. that only alcohol was found in her system. Although speculating, it could be that her body had already had damage done.

you knew she was done when she had emphyzema from smoking at age 23.
not to sound harsh, but she would have most likely have died from a smoking related cause before her 40th birthday.

Actually no that isn't what the news said. The news said that her family reports that no illegal drugs were found in her system. That is sooooo not the same thing.

You're comparing not being able to stop drinking to not starting drugs. Also not a comparison. Not being able to stop doing something is nothing at all like being stupid enough to start. Stopping is always difficult. Not starting is simply a matter of being a moron or not.
