Default Some peoples kids...

So today as i was getting ready to watch some fireworks at the local High school.. they traditionally sang the national anthem. Now im not exactly a gentleman and proper all the time but i know that when its played you stand and take your hat off and your right hand goes on your chest. I proudly do that everytime its played but there was a group of girls that chose to just talk and laugh and play with their stupid glowsticks. Id say they were at least 19 and know just as well as i do what the anthem means. I honestly wanted to say something but i didnt wanna get into it with their bfs... man did it just get under my skin.. i just gotta wonder where our country is heading when stuff like this happens.. Sorry about the long post.. just my rant for the night.. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!... THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SERVICE MEN & WOMEN!!!

True but its still disrespectful. No one has the pride like they used to. These fucks at funerals disrespecting soldiers and shit. Getting old. I will agree though Im probably not that much older than that girl, but shits going down hill for the future.

Yea in Cali you tell them what you do some do the nose up thing. Texas is were its at man. Places giving you beer knowing your underage but do it because you serve. It deffenitly depends on the area to. My friends have said flying threw Baltimore that theyll stop at a Hooters before heading to the hotel and people will buy them drinks apon drinks.

Same here. Alot of it has to do with the younger group to. Alot of them seem more disrespectful then what I was. Or mabey its because Cali is a whole different world then were your from. At least I thought that when I moved from Illinois.

Its all about how they were raised is my opinion. Depends on parents views will be instilled in there children, I had friends in high school that their parents didn't give a rats ass about anything and it shows today in my old classmates. The ones still living at home leeching off their folks doing absolutely nothing with their life. Sometimes I wonder how they live like that wasting their lives, then I remember I was raised better then that.

Its not like it used to be, but I know most people around here respect the service men and women.

I think it pains us all, the ones that actually have a brain, to see stuff like that.

That kind of shit pisses me off! And I'm similar age. Many still call me a kid but I can't stand the disrespect some people have towards our flag, anthem, pledge and our service men and women.
I have a very deep respect for out troops. They are putting their lives on the line so we can have our freedoms and safety. Some have even given the ultimate sacrifice and have died for us, yet people have the nerve to go and protest at their funerals and say that their death is a good thing. If those bastards ever come around where I live its not gonna be pleasant. I would probably get in a fight with them.
Our military personnel don't get the respect they deserve. Even if you don't like the war that is being fought, don't disrespect those who are over there fighting. Be mad at those who are giving the orders.

End Rant!
That shit just pisses me off. I believe that I am one of the few people my age that still have respect for our troops and our country.

X2 on that!

I was born and raised in California
My parents are from European and Asian descent ,
But I was raised to respect others, their beliefs , their cultures,
And their thinking.I may not agree with their ways...
But I can at least respect them! Even if those people think wrong,
we can show them OUR ways and our ideas in a non- violent way.
We can only hope that our children are taught
and choose beliefs that Respect This country ,
because freedom comes At a high price!

They probably dont know what the pledge is or the national anthem, they dont teach that in school anymore. How many of you stood each morning in class, faced the colors and recited the pledge of allegiance? I know I did but they dont anymore and its a damn shame. And yes, Its disrespectful no matter how you cut it, free country or not.
