Default Ford super Chief

Anyone heard of this?
Ford concept truck to come out in 2012 called the "Super Chief".
My brother emailed me a set of picture that came from this link,
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=117090

The jury is still out as to whether I like it or not, but I would bet it will be about as affordable as buying a house in Cali.
Have a look and see what you think.
If this has already been posted I didn't see it and would not have re-posted.

The Super Chief concept has been around for years, but the last I had heard, it was just a design exercise, there wasn't a definite plan to build it.

Have you seen the 2011 Super Duty? ALOT of the Super Chief shows up on the Super Duty for 2011. Similar to how the '08 SD was influenced by the Tonka Truck concept from the late 90's/early 00's. And yeah, Super Chief concept truck came out in like...'06?

The article posted was posted in 06 so sounds about right. I still haven't heard anything about them actually bringing the vehicle to production, sounds like one of many concept vehicles car makers make.

Crazy interior...

I attend the North American International Auto Show every year, and a lot of times you'll see features from outrageous concepts make their way into production vehicles.
I have always thought that automakers plant employees disguised as civilians around their displays to get a feel for what people think about certain designs.

The thing about concept vehicles...eventually, ideas and technologys that debuted on a concept, eventually makes it to production. Not many concept vehicles make it to production though. Those have have, Viper, Prowler, Challenger, Camaro, Solstice, and most mustang concepts hint alot on the next gen stang...the '92, '03ish, and the italian concept from 08 all hinted to the next stang. Super Chief will NEVER make it to production. Concepts show what the auto maker's design and r&d departments can do. And alot of times, styling and some technology from domestic concepts make it to a future production model.

Umm, I'll take a pic later today there is a damn near identical truck sitting at a dealer down the street from me.
You have to watch the sucessful trends, like the lightning> SRT-8 > ? etc.
