I haven't had one jam & probably put 400 to 500 rounds through it with my lc9, so I think they have or I got lucky and got a good one.

Lots of good advise entangled within this thread....I've relied on guns in my professional career more than once...and have shot many types and owned many types...my advise, words of wisdom....
A great concealment gun makes a crappy range gun....so don't go entirely on "how it feels" when you shoot it....the attributes that make a great carry pistol such as lightweight small size make it not so much "fun" at the range...
A gun is like a tool....and fir something you're going to depend your life on better make it as simple to use and easy to use as possible...
The concealed weapon is to get you out of a situation....not into one...in other words you see a bank getting robbed don't go try "saving the day" a good witness beats a dead hero any day.
With all those thoughts my best advise would be a snub nose 357 mag....I prefer smith and wesson.
No such thing as a stove pipe, jam, or feed issues with a revolver...point and click it goes bang....if no bang. Pull the trigger again...until you practice practice practice miss fire drills and master them a semi auto will do you no good...sure 10 rounds are nice...but not if the gun jams...
Plus the 357 will also shoot 38 rounds making it more range friendly....
Practice practice practice at the range.....take a course if available....
Happy shooting!

Re: Looking to get my conceled carry need pistol options
if i may allow my 2cents, a really great concealed carry gun is the s&w bodygaurd .380 but a good gun for the range and ccw is a fnp 9mm. just sayin its what i got and love it.

Re: Looking to get my conceled carry need pistol options
I have a Hi point 9. Its not a bad gun but only has eight rounds then again if your shooting correctly you shouldn't need any more. I have shot tighter groups than guys with a three different brands of 45's. Once you get used to shooting it find a range where you can rent other brands and try those. If you are around Kville try Frontier Firearms in Kingston they have a great range and selection of rental guns and are cheaper than Cold Creek armory. They have great classes for carry permits too.
Edit: I just seen you were from NC i don't know why i thought you were from Kville area.

Re: Looking to get my conceled carry need pistol options
This is what I carry... great gun and very affordable.
http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/80025
I notice alot of people mention Hi-point.. they are very affordable but I have had bad experiences with the guns jamming, I have had two of them. dunno.. could just be shit luck.
I would also recommend the Ruger LCP, great little carry pistol.
