Yes I am the dude that Brandon knows.

I have my CPL, I carry Springfield XD sub-compact .40cal in a Crossbreed supertuck in horsehide. one of the most comfortable hosters out there.

I also carry a Smith&Wesson 442 hammerless .38+p with no internal lock, in either blackhawk IWB or blackhawk pocket holster. this gun is great for tighter fitting clothing or if you dont want to carry around that much weight because it is so light.

even tho I can conceal the XD in the supertuck with wearing shorts and t-shirt, its very easy.

you are 100% wasting your time and money on the hipoint if you want to buy something else soon. save money and just get what you want first not stepping stone it...

----------

if you want something slimmer and smaller look into the Ruger LC9 its a 9mm and slim as hell go look at one. only issue I have with it, it is a big brother to the LCP with is a .380 and it has horrible feeding issues and I hope they fixed that on the LC9. here is a pic of it, also a pic of it comparing a Glock 26, LC9 in the middle, and LCP on the left

Why do you hate Glocks? I love my G22, never had any problems with it. It has kind of a brick feel to it though, but thats the only thing close to a complaint I can come up with.
Another good carry gun is the Taurus tcp 738. it's a .380 cal. semi auto, 6+1 round capacity, very light and comfortable to carry. The only problem I've had with it is the slide locking open while there is still more ammo in the mag. But that is getting better the more I shoot it.

why i hate a glock its the typical Springfield XD V.S. glock debate that goes on for ever. I dont like how glock feels i dont like how it takes down, and I am more accurate with an XD that plain and simple thats why there is so may different kinds.

Have to agree here, any pistol is better than nothing.

Also can stip my 19 in less than 2 seconds. I am the same way as Diablo, a Glock is my weapon of choice. I have the some objections for Springfeilds as Redneckstone has for Glocks. Just a matter of preference.

yes that is why there is so many out there. Find what feels good, find what gun is the best for you to shoot every time, and buy it...

guys LOL "I can strip my glock in 2 sec"...... I can do the same with my XD... remember tho in a defensive mode you will never need to strip it... MAYBE need to rack slap it... but thats it... speed of stripping is irrelevant.

I 100% agree any gun is better then no gun at all even a .22 can kill when shot correctly...

I know for a fact I can hit center target with my XD at 50ft and sketchy but I have done it at 100ft... 3" barrel that's not damn bad you PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE become one with your weapon. and if ever the time god for bid something happens when you need to use it, you might hit what your aiming at.. remember only training will counter act adrenaline which will make you a horrible shot and tunnel vision which will set in wont help either... also something if you ever get the chance to do it. how many of you have ever stood outside at a range and shot the gun with out hearing protection, NO i dont mean 100 rounds only need to do like 3-5... then realize how deaf you become which will throw you off so f-ing bad. if you ever get a chance to do it go ahead its something you need to be prepared for if the time ever comes up...

also for the people out there that are debating on getting your CPL, come to the terms that if you ever have to use your weapon YOU ARE GOING TO JAIL AND YOUR GUN WILL BE CONFISCATED.... end of story... the likely hood that your getting let off if it was justified is very high but just comes to terms with that first before you get the permit.

now going against my XD, the gun that I can hit center all damn day is my Springfield Armory 1911... its heavy as hell nail drives to hell and I love it... still waiting on my crossbreed holster for it... BUT you get what you pay for being its $800+

I love my Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm Compact with crimson trace grips
However if you can get one decently priced go with the .40 compact model. Cause then you can covert to shoot 9mm (Barrel and 9mm Mags) and .357sig (Barrel and you can use the stock .40mags)

Also for a concealment holster hands down the best one to get is a crossbread holster

Nothing against the police but they can't be everywhere at once. Personally, I don't want to wait the 15 minutes +/- that it will take for them to respond. Chances are, the situation will be over way before they get there and I'm sure the outcome wouldn't be pretty...
