Actually it very much is our position to judge. He was a public figure that made a career out of getting people to watch and judge his actions. And nothing anyone has said in this thread is childish or immature either. Having a negative opinion of someone is allowed. Clearly some people here have expressed a negative opinion of me in this thread because of my opinion. Why should I not be allowed to express my negative opinion but its perfectly ok for others to express theirs. Not agreeing doesn't mean wrong. It just means not agreeing and thats life.

That still doesnt make it right to piss on a grave, you of all people should know how bad a car crash is and how fast it can happen. Granted he was probably highly intoxicated and going wayyy too fast. I find it morally wrong to talk shit about a man after his death.

I do indeed. I've been in my own really ugly crash as is evident by my avatar obviously (that was black ice on a steep hill in the rain). And I've cut enough people out of wrecked cars and handled enough busted up, dying, or dead people from other car accidents to justify my personal opinion on the matter (it is just that, my opinion). I know its not the same as your opinion and I can respect yours. I disagree with it, and the discussion is open, but I don't expect to change your mind or try too. Just explaining why my opinion is what it is.

With all that, I've seen just about every kind of crash with just about every cause, though someone always seems hell bent on pushing that envelope. Many accidents are just accidents. Someone did something dumb, or wasn't paying attention, or maybe just totally unavoidable like mine was. Then there are those that are so egregious, caused by such willful reckless disregard for life, with such horrific end results, and with such a pattern of repetition, that sympathy is simply not an option for me anymore with incidents like this.

As I posted on the the first page of this thread, the accident we're talking about here, I have literally seen the exact same thing happen first hand. The conditions, surroundings, actions, causes, and end results were identical. Only difference was it didn't catch on fire and the dead had to be removed to access the survivor trapped in another seat. My sympathy was reserved for the innocent passengers that had been begging the driver not to do what he was doing.

i agree with you 100% matt

i myself can't feel sympathy for him, and heres why, about 10 years ago my favorite cousin in the whole world was left paralyzed from tthe waist down, her, and 4 of her friends were heading back from a birthday party whern they were 16 years of age, her 4 friends were killed on site by, get this.............. a drunk driver, here is a current pic of my cousin

by her shear determination, she has pulled thru this, hasa gotten herself a damn good education, started modeling, and acting down in the LA area, she is truly a miracle story

shit like this happens way too often, and how am i suppost to feel abotu someone that took 4 innocent lives, well 5 lives including his pathetic excuse for a exsistance, and leaving a 16 year old girl with out her best friends, only family, and one hell of a medical bill, and in a coma for 6 months, bus she was able to get her HS diploma with her graduating class

Ryan Dunn Dead: 132 mph and 0.196 BAC Caused Accident
Jun 22, 2011 06:22 PM EDT

******* star Ryan Dunn, 32, died on June 20 from a fatal car accident. His 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 went off the road, busted through a highway guardrail, and slammed into a tree.

It was wrecked and burst into inflames. Both Dunn and his passenger were found dead at the scene from blunt and thermal trauma.

Preliminary police reports indicated that speed might have played a role. It was also suspected the Dunn was drunk because he tweeted photos of himself drinking just hours before he took the wheel.

Now, TMZ reported that the police think Dunn was going 132 mph at the time of his crash and that his blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.196, almost 2.5 times the legal limit of 0.08.

Driving drunk and fast are both known causes of automobile fatalities. A 2008 Census report showed that excessive alcohol was involved in 32 percent of all US fatal car crashes and speeding was involved in 31 percent of all US fatal car crashes.

Shortly after Dunn's death, film critic Roger Ebert tweeted "Friends don't let *******es drink and drive." This remark set off a one-day long cyber war between Ebert and Dunn's bereaved friends. Ebert has since apologized for any pain he caused but stands by his stance against drunk driving.

Dunn was born in Medina, Ohio, and grew up in Williamsville, New York, before moving to West Chester, Pennsylvania.

A private service for family and friends will take place near Dunn's home in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with a public memorial service to follow.

Not sure how official this is, but it's exactly as I suspected. Well, almost. I was figuring on 90-100mph.

Well this could be interesting... westboro baptist church plans to protest Ryan Dunns funeral. See: http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/22...dunns-funeral/

He has a bunch of friends & fans who are crazy, wreckless, and all around just don't care. This can get interesting... one can only hope.

thank you
i lost my cousin valerie in 2007 to a drunk driver who was on coke as well. The driver blew a red light and hit my cousin right in the drivers side door killing her instantly as it snapped her neck. to this day that female driver never showed remorse. She got 2 yrs prison. My cousin valerie was 23. I still mourn her to this day. I dont want to start a debate about this but i have bit my tongue for too long about driving drunk. I dont care if you drive drunk and kill yourself, thats just you paying for your fuck up! but when you take the life of another, or the mobility of another (just like you cousin who i am sure is a wonderful person and did not deserve this) you deserve nothing but to feel the pain that we, their father, mother, sibling, cousin, BFF, acquaintances that we feel to this day. Its only suitable that he burn in his wreck of a choice but those of you who say " he still dead we should respect him even though he did the worse of mistakes" Eat your words, and realize rthe pain, the damage and the theft he did by taking the life of another... Feel our losses before you comment and say that he did not deserve to die. He didnt until he killed his passenger, now he deserves to burn.... RIP Valerie
