I'm sorry, but fill up at half tank it stupid. You still spend/buy the exact same amount of gas!! Anyone who thinks different is plain dumb lol.

you can save weight by filling to half. I believe it is about 8# per gallon of fuel; so maybe 64# or so can be saved by filling to half, but it won't provide a mpg increase.

It's less of a hit to the wallet at one time though.

because I am an american and I wont do it, besides, what the hell is the point? For one, its paid for. And what kinda vehicle is out there that seats 8 passanger and is 4wd...? And no, im not buying an "armada" Sorry, but I wont put my kids in a car, aint gonna happen. Saftey is first, Now im not complaing about the fuel mileage it gets, Just saying that the ranger is better and she will be drivng that.

The problem with people is that there all like "oh fuel efficiency" and go and take a 30,000 vehicle with a 300 a month payment. We spend 300 a month in fuel for the expedition, so were already ahead. If you go and get something that gets 50% better fuel mileage you may cut your gas bill to 150 a month, but now have a 300 car payment, you just went from nice big luxury ride for 300 a month, to a yuppie mobile for 450. That dont make sense....

dont matter, you still have to have the fuel. Either way, so we just fill it up. Have to get to work actually, we fill it up when the fuel light comes on and there is around 5 gallons, so were not running it bone dry

i agree. if its paid for then all ya would be doin is gettin yourself deeper in the hole with a payment. and i dont care about gas prices and im only 17. ya aint gonna see me in one of them junky tin cans. i care more about my safety than that too. and especially with you having kids. gotta have somethin that wont be flattened if invovled in a accident.

Your expedition is better than the one my father has, Its the assistant chief truck for the firecompany, it has about 1500 pounds in the back of it and runs the 5.4 Triton. I think he puts gas in it every 4 or 5 days. Good thing the county pays for it though

But expeditions are awesome, i think you can do an OHC LED Light mod in the Expeditions OHC light, to me they look the same.

I'm not saying go out and buy a brand new car. And I'm not saying get something more fuel efficient because it's good for the environment. I'm saying sell the boat and buy a decent car. Do you have 8 kids? Do you have a need to have a vehicle that can seat 8 people?

Besides, dont everyone have someone in there family that has the bus to shuttle people around for say like family trips...!??!?!? hahahaha

----------

and its not like its an excursion!? most the time the 3rd row is out, to haul groceries, dogs, whatever. 2nd row for the kids and well, the front row for us

Exactly what I was gonna say. Think of the gas bill on that, LOL!

As it stands, I'm right around $300 a month in gas with my Chevy, then another $200 for insurance for both trucks, and then a $400 truck payment. Yeah, $1000 a month sucks dick, lol. Only three more years!

^^^that sucks man. we pay 140 a month for insurance on both trucks. A tank of fuel for my in the ranger last about 3 weeks, I dont drive much. So were around 500 a month for vehicle operating cost. Of course the new skins were over $1,000, that sucked...

I've always said that when I have kids I'm getting one of these to cart them around. I don't care if I only have one kid. It's gonna sit in the middle of the truck and it's going to take a buliding falling on that truck to hurt my baby. IDGAF if it gets four miles to the gallon, my kid is safe.
